Frequently Asked Questions
Answers on booking, lead time, equipment, music, invoicing, insurance and backup plans – for corporate events and weddings.

How early should a DJ be booked?
For Christmas parties on Fridays and Saturdays in December: 6 to 9 months. For weddings on Saturdays between May and September: 12 to 18 months. For summer parties, trade fairs and incentives: 3 to 6 months. Short-notice enquiries are still always worth sending.
How quickly will I get a reply to my enquiry?
Absolute reliability is one of the most important factors in the collaboration – so you’ll hear back extremely fast: usually within a few hours, at the latest within 24 hours, and on weekdays often the same day. That way we can get straight into direct conversation. You’ll also receive an automatic confirmation email right after submitting.
What does a DJ for our event cost?
Prices are calculated individually, because time frame, guest count, technical needs, venue and additional services determine the effort involved. You’ll receive a concrete, written quote within 24 hours of your enquiry – no obligation and free of charge.
Is there a get-to-know-you call before booking?
Yes, no obligation and free of charge – by phone or video call. For corporate events, an on-site meeting is also available on request.
Is the equipment included in the quote?
Yes. Every quote includes sound and lighting equipment as well as set-up, installation and load-out. If your venue already has suitable equipment in place, the quote is reduced accordingly.
How many guests can the sound system cover?
From 50 to 5,000 guests. The system is dimensioned according to room size, ceiling height, acoustics and guest count. For multiple rooms or split-up areas, a multi-zone setup is used.
Does the setup work outdoors?
Yes, in dry weather conditions and by prior arrangement, all packages can be used outdoors.
What if there’s no power connection?
For that there are battery-powered sound and lighting solutions with a runtime of 7 to 8 hours – for example for meadows, vineyards, courtyards or forest clearings.
Who coordinates with the venue?
DJonas handles that directly: set-up times, delivery, power, volume restrictions and spatial layout. You don’t have to act as the go-between.
Can speeches, videos and presentations be supported technically?
Yes. Redundant wireless microphones, lectern audio, connection to projectors and video equipment, plus cued clips, are all part of the standard scope at corporate events.
Can we submit song requests?
Yes, and it’s explicitly encouraged. Ideally 10 to 25 requested tracks plus a clear no-go list. The no-go list is almost more important than the wish list.
Should we provide a complete playlist?
Better not to. A fully fixed playlist removes any ability to react to the audience – and is the most common reason for an empty dance floor. My mix is never rigid; it stays flexible so it can adapt dynamically to the vibe, the event and the audience.
How does the music work for an international audience?
Through deliberately multilingual, internationally mixed sets. For international workforces and weddings, the make-up of the audience is captured in detail during the briefing.
How late can the party go?
Standard is until 2:00 a.m., with hourly extensions possible. The venue’s own rules are ultimately decisive.
Is there a proper invoice, contract and terms and conditions?
Yes. Every booking is confirmed in writing with terms and conditions. The invoice shows correct VAT, with cost centre and PO number on request.
Is there public liability insurance?
Yes, a public liability insurance policy. Proof is provided on request, sent directly to the venue if needed.
Is a non-disclosure agreement possible?
Yes. NDAs are signed on request. No photos, videos or client names are published without explicit approval.
Is there collaboration with event agencies?
Yes, regularly – including coordination of the running order and cue list, participation in technical rehearsals, and collaboration with other technical suppliers.
What area does DJonas serve?
Frankfurt am Main and the Rhine-Main region are the core market – based in Darmstadt with short distances to Wiesbaden, Mainz, Offenbach, Hanau and Aschaffenburg. For corporate events, DJonas also works nationwide, including regular bookings in Munich, Berlin, Hamburg, Cologne, Düsseldorf and Stuttgart. International by arrangement.
Is there a dedicated page for Frankfurt am Main?
Yes. The Corporate Event DJ Frankfurt am Main page has details on the banking district high-rises, congress hotels, trade-fair halls and rooftop venues, plus travel from Darmstadt.
Is there a travel fee?
Depending on distance, a travel fee may apply. It’s shown transparently in the quote – no surprises on the invoice.
What happens if the DJ falls ill?
This case is covered contractually. Through a network of experienced colleagues, a qualified replacement with an identical scope of service is provided and fully briefed – with your running order, your song requests and the same equipment.
What happens in the event of a technical failure during the event?
Critical components are kept redundant in the vehicle. A failure therefore leads to a brief interruption, not the end of the evening.
