Frequently Asked Questions about Weddings

How far in advance should we book our wedding DJ?
For Saturdays between May and September, the rule of thumb is 12 to 18 months ahead. Popular dates such as the long Whitsun weekend or Saturdays in June are often booked out two years in advance. For weddings outside the peak season, 6 to 9 months is usually enough.
Is there a preliminary consultation?
Yes, always. Before booking, a no-obligation introductory call – by phone or video. After booking, a detailed planning conversation about four to six weeks before the wedding: running order, song requests, no-gos, speeches, surprises, key contacts.
Can we submit a song request list?
Yes. Ideally 15 to 25 tracks that matter to you, plus a clear no-go list. The rest happens live on the night – a fully scripted playlist is the most common reason for an empty dance floor.
Do you also handle the music for an outdoor ceremony in the garden without power?
Yes. That’s exactly what the Ceremony Sound package is for: a battery-powered speaker, wireless microphone for speakers and the officiant, your chosen songs in full quality – even in a meadow, a vineyard, or by a lake.
How late can the party go on?
The standard finish time is 2:00 am, with hourly extensions possible at any time. Ultimately, your venue’s own rules apply.
What happens if the DJ falls ill?
This is covered contractually. Through a network of experienced colleagues, a qualified replacement with an identical scope of service is provided and fully briefed – with your running order, your song requests, and the same equipment.
Do you also perform outdoors?
Yes, in dry weather and by prior arrangement, every package can be used outdoors.

Ceremony Sound – the trickiest part of the day

The outdoor ceremony is the moment when the technology either works invisibly or ruins everything. That’s why it’s covered here, not tucked away in a submenu.

Ceremony Sound in detail

The officiant, the couple, and the witnesses each need their own microphone – a single handheld mic passed around ruins any sense of occasion. Lavalier microphones run discreetly throughout, and the lectern gets one of its own.

Power is rarely available outdoors. Battery-powered sound runs for 7 to 8 hours and is set up in twenty minutes – with no cables running across the gravel path.

Processional music, the ring exchange, the recessional: every cue is agreed in advance and triggered on a hand signal, not shouted across the aisle. Ceremony videos and surprise performances are tested beforehand – volume, audio sync, starting point.

After the ceremony, the same system moves to the champagne reception and later into the hall. One set-up, one point of contact, no handover between two different suppliers.
